AmaZulu's signing spree has continued under their new ownership as they secured the services of a Mamelodi Sundowns defender.
Following a surprise announcement earlier this year that he would be returning to Belgium, Sundowns right-back Anele Ngcongca has now penned a deal with AmaZulu.
The 33-year-old made waves during lockdown when Belgian second tier side KSV Roeselare announced that had signed a two-year deal back in July.
The announcement perplexed many a local football supporters as it was widely reported back in March that the former Bafana Bafana defender had signed a contract extension with The Brazilians.
However, with the waters having since settled, KickOff.com can confirm that Ngcongca's future has finally been decided with Usuthu landing his services on a season-long loan, with an option to make the deal permanent.
The Cape Town-born defender underwent a medical with the KwaZulu-Natal-based outfit in Johannesburg on Friday, before leaving for Durban on Saturday evening.
His arrival announcement is expected on Monday, when he will link up with his new teammates and coach Ayanda Dlamini.
