AmaZulu are currently engaging Serbian coach Jozef Vukusic and striker Lehlohonolo Majoro to be released from their contracts.

Vukusic is still on 'special leave' after being replaced by Ayanda Dlamini following Usuthu's poor performances this season.

Dlamini, assisted by Moeneeb Josephs, beat Kaizer Chiefs in his first game in charge of the Durban-based side while Majoro has spent time training alone after being removed from the first team before lockdown.

According to a source close to Usuthu, the club is now close to reaching an agreement to terminate Vukusic's contract.

"Vukusic's relationship with AmaZulu is as good as over. The club is trying to engage the coach with intentions to terminate his contract. The only thing left now is agreeing on settlement," the source tells KickOff.com.

"Majoro is back in Johannesburg. He might not even return to Durban after the lockdown."

Another player set to leave AmaZulu at the end if this season is midfielder Nhlanhla Vilakazi, while Michael Morton and Jabulani Ncobeni's contracts are ending in June.

Efforts to get hold of Usuthu officials for comment proved futile.
