Benni McCarthy has completed his first new signing since joining AmaZulu after securing the signature of Zukile Kewuti from Cape Town City.
Kewuti, who worked with McCarthy during his stint as coach of the Citizens, has joined Usuthu on a six-month loan deal.
City have confirmed in a tweet that the 26-year-old midfielder will spend the rest of the season on loan with Usuthu.
According to a source close to AmaZulu, the player will start training with Usuthu today and there is also the possibility of a permanent move in future.
"There is the option to consider signing him on permanent basis next season," the source tells KickOff.com.
"Coach Benni McCarthy knows the boy very well having worked together at Cape Town City and knows his qualities."
AmaZulu are yet to decide on Phakamani Mahlambi and Siphiwe Tshabalala, whose futures in Durban look bleak.
