Official: AmaZulu confirm 7 new additions

AmaZulu has unveiled seven new additions as they prepare for life in the 2021/22 CAF Champions League next season.

Usuthu defied all expectations last season under the new ownership of Sandile Zungu, who stated upon his arrival they are aiming for a top-four finish.

The decision to rope in Bafana Bafana legend Benni McCarthy in December, with the club languishing in 12th place in the top-flight proved an inspiring move.

McCarthy oversaw a record 16-game unbeaten run on route to helping them to a runners-up spot in the inaugural DStv Premiership campaign, thus qualifying them for Africa's elite club competition for the first time in their history.

And to build on the debut season success, McCarthy's side has roped in no less than five players for the new season including South Africa U-23 captain Tercious Malepe and former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Keagan Buchanan.

With Lindani Shange and Tshepang Moremi also promoted from the DStv Diski Challenge squad while president Sandile Zungu confirmed more signings will be announced in due course.
