De Sa – who has been assessing the fitness levels of his charges – tells KickOff.com that the camp will form a crucial part of the side’s pre-season preparations.
“We will be in camp from around the 11th of July and we will work on a number of aspects relating to our game,” De Sa says.
“I am impressed with the fitness levels that have been demonstrated by the players so far but it is still early days.
“It is important for us to continue working on the fitness of players but we will also do some assessments with regard to game situations,” he adds.
De Sa – whose charges finished the previous season placed 12th – will be happy with suggestions that the likes of Nazeer Allie and Keagan Dolly are unlikely to be leaving the club.
The Ajax management has indicated that they will not be parting ways with Allie while interest in Dolly – from clubs such as Kaizer Chiefs – seems to have fizzled out.
