Rodgers: The goals will come

The 28-year-old is on loan at the Mother City outfit from Mamelodi Sundowns and is yet to find the back of the net in his four showings this season.

"So far I’m happy to be here, and since I’m a Cape Town boy, it was much easier to settle," Rodgers says.

"I’ve had opportunities to score but failed to convert. But I believe I will start scoring soon.

"I’m gaining more and more confidence every time I play and I also believe that we will win in God’s time.

"But at the moment there is no pressure to score, because we are creating our chances and it’s just a matter of making our chances count."

The Urban Warriors will hope to claim their first win of the season when they visit PSL rookies Polokwane City at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

City suffered their fifth consecutive loss to Orlando Pirates on Wednesday while Ajax drew 2-2 with high-flying Mamelodi Sundowns.

On their upcoming game, Rodger says: “Away games are always tough. At the same time we don’t really know what to expect from them.

"But we are not travelling all the way for nothing; we want all three points."
