The clash got off to a quiet start, although Eric Tinkler's charges enjoyed most of the possession in the opening exchanges.
The first real chance of the game arrived after 11 minutes when Richard Boateng's long ball found Kingston Nkhatha, who fired a first-time effort over the crossbar.
The deadlock was broken on 27 minutes as Morgan Gould sent a long throw into the box, which was only cleared into the path of Siyabonga Nhlapo, who fired into the bottom corner.
Chippa, meanwhile, were finding it tough to get possession off SuperSport, which led to a lack of chances.
However, the Chilli Boys were level on the stroke of halftime when Moeketsi Sekola fired home from six yards out after SuperSport failed to deal with Kurt Lentjies's cross.
Tinkler was forced into a change after 54 minutes after Sifiso Myeni was taken off after a collision with Paseka Mako. Thuso Phala was brought on as his replacement.
However, the second half was proving to be a dull affair with neither side looking threatening.
Tinkler then opted for a change after 70 minutes as Jeremy Brockie made way for Bradley Grobler.
The change nearly paid off seven minutes later, but Grobler sliced his volley wide of the upright from close range.
Both sides upped the tempo in the closing stages, but they were unable to get a second goal and were forced to share the spoils.
