Free State Stars and Baroka FC shared the spoils in the Absa Premiership following a 2-2 draw at Goble Park on Wednesday evening.
Stars made three changes in Yusuf Jappie, Mpho Khabane and Harris Tchilimbou as they looked to ease their relegation fears.
After the earlier pressure, Stars broke the ice when 17-year-old Khabane showed composure 20 minutes in with a point-blank finish.
Baroka felt the pressure, but pushed for an immediate response however steadfast defending from Stars held the visitors at bay.
Five minutes from the restart, Bakgaga Ba Ga Mphahlele went level after Lawrence Ntswane finished off a well-calculated move.
Instantaneously, Wedson Nyirenda threw on more attackers to get a grip of matters, as Jemondre Dickens filled in for Madigoe.
Likewise, Ea Lla Koto tried to regain control with an offensive change two minutes later in Tanzanian striker Martin Kizza for Khabane.
The home side regained their lead, as Sibusiso Hlubi fired the host back in front 55 minutes in after Baroka went to sleep.
While Stars leaned towards victory, Bakgaga levelled again through a 73rd minute finish from Collins Makgaka to set up a big finish.
However, both sides pushed for a winner but settled for a point each that sees Baroka move off the bottom-two, two points off Stars in 13th.
