Baroka deny Highlands three points

Baroka started strong and bossed the visitors in the opening 10 minutes. Eben Gebhardt inadvertently connected with Richard Matloga, but the latter shot over the top from close range.

Highlands' first chance found Petros Ngebo at the end of a long ball from Patrick Tignyemb, but the visitors quickly thwarted the danger.

The fight back following the slow start continued for them, but still lacked the necessary clear-cut chances to whim through the opposing defence before the half and hour mark.

A beautiful run down the wing by Lindokuhle Mbatha found Ngebo with a cross in the centre of the box and managed to get a header in that sailed over the bar on 39 minutes.

Both sides started slowly in the second half, with the first piece of offensive activity only happening after 63 minutes.

Though it happened on the home side front as Tapuwa Kapini was called upon to prevent Talent Chawapihwa in a one-on-one situation.

It took substitute Thabo Motlafi to come from the dugout and break the deadlock on 74 minutes with the opportunity for their first win in sight.

New signing Ranca Chivaviro ruined their aspirations of a win, with the equaliser deep in injury time for a share of the spoils.
