Palacios: Form is returning

Premiership

The Buccaneers enjoyed a mixed bag of results over the weekend, winning Saturday’s encounter against Mpumalanga Black Aces 1-0 before going down 2-1 to Platinum Stars on Sunday.

Yet Palacious believes the players at his disposal, including the likes of Tlou Segolela, Khethokwakhe Masuku, Lehlogonolo Masalesa and Brighton Mhlongo, gave a good account of themselves and are finding their form as they target a spot in the senior squad.

“It is very nice for the players to show they can come and play,” the Palacios told the club’s official website.

“For Brighton Mhlongo, it is very good. He is not playing because Senzo (Meyiwa) is on top, but he must have games.

“I was happy to see the players show commitment on Saturday; on Sunday we didn’t win, but we played with the players that just came to the team; if they were together it was easy but I’m very happy with their contribution.

“I saw Masuku and Sox are not playing but their form is coming back.”

Pirates currently sit in second position after five games in Group B of the MultiChoice Diski Challenge, two points behind table-toppers Mamelodi Sundowns.
