The South African earned much needed game-time in the French Cup over the weekend, coming on off the bench in the 67th minute in Montpellier’s 1-1 draw with lower league club Pontarlier. The game headed into extra-time and then penalties, with Dolly netting his side’s second spot-kick as they emerged 4-2 victors to advance to the Last 32 of the competition.

Mokotjo earned his 16th start of the season across all competitions, as he lined up for Brentford’s FA Cup tie against League Two club Notts County. The Championship side, fresh off a 3-0 reverse to Wolves, stumbled yet again, going down 1-0 in a shock loss to a side sitting 39 places below them in the accumulative English standings, as they were knocked out of England’s oldest club competition.

Mothiba was in the starting line-up for Valenciennes’ high-profile French Cup clash against Olympique Marseille, who currently sit fourth in the Ligue 1 standings. The Ligue II outfit managed to take their illustrious opponents to extra-time, where Marseille delivered the killer blow as they edged out their lower league opponents 1-0, as Mothiba and co. failed to progress in the competition.

Ntlhe was again in Rochdale’s starting XI as they lined up against Doncaster Rovers, sitting 12 places above them in League One, for their FA Cup tie on Saturday. Striker Calvin Andrew’s first-half strike proved the difference as Rochdale surprisingly won 1-0 to advance to the next stage of the tournament.

Phete and teammate Haashim Domingo both started for Portuguese Second Division side Vitoria Guimaraes II, who surrendered a two-goal lead to go down 3-2, leaving them second-from-bottom on the standings after 19 games played.

Phiri came on as a second-half substitute as Guingamp advanced to the Last 32 of the French Cup following a narrow 1-0 victory over League II opponents Niort.

Singh earned his 16th league start of the season for Sporting Braga II over the weekend, as they played out a goalless draw with Sporting Lisbon. The point leaves Braga 18th in the standings after 19 games played.

Zungu did not feature in his club’s French Cup tie over the weekend, watching in disbelief as Amiens were dismantled 6-0 by second division side Sochaux to knock the Ligue 1 side out of the tournament.
