The playmaker, who has lived in the USA for almost a decade after coming through their college system, made the move from Swope park Rangers to USL rivals Nashville at the start of the season, but has thrived in his new surroundings, having missed just one of his side’s 28 games the entire season.

He made his 24th start on Wednesday night, and after Nashville went down 1-0 after conceding an early penalty, Moloto was on hand to stroke home his team’s leveller after a pinpoint cross into the box, the South African netting his seventh goal of the season and equalling his tally of the previous year.

Nashville would unfortunately concede via an own goal in the second half as they made it three games in a row without victory, the 2-1 loss leaving them ninth on the log, two points off a USL Cup play-off berth.

Elsewhere, Liam Jordan continued his ever-presence at Danish club HB Koge, starting his eighth game of the season as his side downed Fremad Amager 4-0 to maintain their three-point lead at the top of the Danish First Division standings after nine games.

In China, Dino Ndlovu was unable to find the target as Chinese First Division side Zhejiang Greentown lost for the first time in eight games, going down 1-0 to log-leaders Wuhan Zall, who opened up an eight-point gap at the top over second-placed Greentown after 24 games.
