Mokotjo slams Mashaba

The 25-year-old has experienced a torrid time with the national team under Mashaba, after again being left on the sidelines in their recent back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Cameroon. 

Despite becoming an established Eredivisie midfielder over the past three seasons, Mokotjo has yet to establish himself in the national setup and has since spoken out about his frustration at being overlooked and feels it has become a personal issue.

"He clearly has a problem with me," he is quoted by De Telegraph. "It's really a personal thing. He selected me just to silence the critics. Everyone wants me to play.

"I am one of the highest-rated players in South Africa but he continues to treat me [like this]. And then he also has a big mouth in the media. Am I still available for the national team? I'll have to think about it..."
