The 25-year-old has been included in the Bafana Bafana squad for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers double-header against Cameroon later this month, despite being injured since January.
In fact, Cherries boss Eddie Howe says Rantie is only just returning to training, and adds that once he is fit, they will loan him to any interested parties.
“TK is back and is just starting his first steps towards training again,” Howe says. “He had a nasty injury but we have had the scans checked and he has got no problems now. It’s a case of building up his fitness.
“There is not much time left in the season but if he can get himself fit, we might look at a loan, if he wanted to. It would be a chance for him to go out and get some games somewhere. But we will wait and see.”
Rantie has managed just three appearances all season, and is unlikely to get much of a look-in given the form of players like Callum Wilson, Benik Afobe, Joshua King and Glenn Murray.
