The Tunisians held Bucs to a goalless draw on Saturday at Orlando Stadium in the first leg of their semi-finals clash.
Back in 2006, another Tunisian side, CS Sfaxien, knocked Pirates out in the semi-finals, after the two sides had played to a goalless draw in South Africa. Sfaxien won the return leg 1-0 on home turf to reach the Final.
But De Sa is adamant that is not a concern for him and the team.
“Pirates drew with the team from Tunisia [in 2006], but that is history and we can’t look too much into that,” the coach insists.
“If you want to look at history, Pirates won the competition in 1995 but that’s not going to help us. It is a different game and different players.”
Esperance host the Buccaneers in the return leg in two weeks time.
