Pirates and Polokwane are the only teams yet to win any points in the League this season; Bucs having played just one, but Polokwane on zero points from four.
De Sa was without Andile Jali, Thabo Matlaba, Happy Jele (all suspended) and Kermit Erasmus (not registered with CAF) for their recent Champions League clash with AC Leopards.
“To have these players again available for selection is a bonus for us. We are solid for the match,” De Sa tells Pirates’ website.
“Jali trained well yesterday. We need a competitive squad for Wednesday no doubt about it so, the best available players will take to the field ... we need the points ... we have to go get them with the best we have available.”
The coach says Matlaba is “getting back to his best slowly ... he is in good shape though and let’s see how everything goes in our last session today.”
De Sa says he will have a last look at Jele in their final training session this afternoon, and adds he believes Erasmus has added a lot since arriving from SuperSport United in the off season.
“[Jele’s] experience is invaluable to the side – he obviously offers a different dimension to the team defending and going forward, but like I said – we have a session to go later in the afternoon and we definitely got to have everybody ready.
“Kermit is doing very well– I think since he arrived here he made our attack force a lot stronger. He is available for selection ... it is always good to have him back. He is a smart player.”
