Esperance coach unhappy with Bucs draw

Orlando Pirates

The Tunisian team held Bucs to a 0-0 result in the CAF Champions League semi-final, first leg, with the second to be played on October 19.

Kanzari feels his side have made things difficult for themselves after failing to score away, meaning if Pirates can score an away goal in the return leg, Esperance will need an outright win.

“It was a semi-final between two very good teams,” he says. “The two teams know each other. The game was equal, the two controlled the game in moments.

“We had three opportunities to score and for Pirates it was the same. It was a good game but no one scored.

“But the goalless draw is a very bad result for us. It will make problems for us, and we have to think about how to deal with them.

“The two teams are still with a 50 percent chance, and the chances are the same.”
