Wuest had his contract cancelled by Chiefs at the end of last season and was given a free clearance, but the 26-year-old goalkeeper wants to be paid out for the final year of his deal.
Wuest is owed around R650 000 in signing-on fees, monthly salary and accommodation benefits.
The former Under-23 goalkeeper rarely got a chance to play at the Amakhosi, being behind Emile Baron and Itumeleng Khune in the pecking order.
Wuest is hoping to make a come-back and has been training at Moroka Swallows in recent weeks.
Chiefs lost a similar case to Mark Williams years ago when they had to pay out the former Bafana Bafana striker over R1-million in promised wages.
