A wise choice

News

Tsotetsi has come into a Chiefs side short on centrebacks, and is quickly cementing his place alongside another newcomer in Jonathan Quartey – something he may not have been able to do at Sundowns who already have Benson Mhlongo, OJ Mabizela, Mike Manzini and Oscar Ntwagae on their books.

The former Jomo Cosmos man says he initially felt the pressure saying that he was “worried that I would not be able to live up to the fans’ expectations”.

His nervousness must have intensified after his own-goal against Orlando Pirates in the Telkom Charity Cup, but he kept his head in that game, and has continued to prove his worth.

He admits that he hasn’t made it as a Chiefs player yet, but his attitude bodes well for the future: “You need a strong character to play for Chiefs, and I think I have that.”
