Tefera appeared before the Premier Soccer League’s Disciplinary Committee in Parktown on Monday evening and pleaded guilty to the charge.
The player and club will also have to submit a written apology to the affected player and club as well as the League.
Furthermore, both Supersport United and Tefera were ordered to pay the costs of the two sittings.
Another hearing involving University of Pretoria player, Shafeeq Arendse, for misconduct arising from a reckless tackles in a National First Division Inland Stream match against Jomo Cosmos did not proceed.
Both the club and the player did not attend.
The DC gave the benefit of the doubt to the player and club and postponed the matter to a date still to be announced.
