“I’m happy with the way we played during our friendlies in Botswana and during Saturday’s Gauteng Challenge clash with Supersport United,” Gorowa says on the Dube club’s website.
“The guys look sharp and their level of fitness has improved tremendously and that makes me very happy.
The new guys are settling well although some of them are not really up to the level of fitness I want them to be, but we will continue work on them until they get there.
“This week we welcome back Bevan Fransman, who was away on national duty in Ghana, and I’m happy to have him back; our defence is now solid.
“Further good news is the return of our winger Cecil Oerson and defender Tebogo Monyai, whom we expect to resume full training soon. All I can say is that I’m a happy man at this stage.”
Meanwhile, Gorowa was full of praise for new recruit Siphamandla Vilakazi, who was promoted from Swallows’ Development Academy.
“I thought he would take time to adapt, playing for the senior team after spending so much time in the development ranks, but to my surprise he looked comfortable on the ball in all the matches he has played so far.
“The boy has tremendous talent and given time, I’m sure he will go on to be one of the best players in the league.”
