Lewis has been snapped up from Ajax Cape Town on a six months-loan after falling out of favour at the Urban Warriors. "I have come here with the intention of staying longer. I just don't want to be here for only six months, so I am going to work for what I want," says Lewis.
_quote "It is an honour to be here because I have had a rough time in the past 18 months. I hope I will get game time here and help Kaizer Chiefs win the League. This is the biggest club in South Africa so it is an honour to be here and rub shoulders with players who are internationals.
"Everybody has been good to me so far and I just have to keep on working and see what happens from there. "In football there is always pressure. I have achieved my goal of going overseas but injuries have put me down. I believe in myself and that I am able to do what I can. I want to play as soon as possible, but it is up to the coach. At Ajax, the coach didn't like a few of the goal celebrations that I made last season," says Lewis. Lewis explains how his deal to Vasco da Gama fell through. "My agent had planned on moving one of his clients there, Sibusiso Zuma, to SuperSport United so that I would then take up that slot at Vasco. But it didn't work out in the end. After that came the Chiefs interest," he explains.
