News

The duo have suspended by Phunya Sele Sele for missing training this week.

Celtic manager Khumbulani Konco confirms to KickOff.com that both players have been suspended and are to appear before the team’s DC on a date still to be announced.

“Both players have been charged with absconding from training without reporting to the team about their absence. We have still to set a date for them to appear before the DC.”

Contacted about his suspension, Sikhakhane yesterday was singing different tune.

“I was injured and not available for the game against Arrows at the weekend, so I asked the team to release me to go home. I spoke to the manager and asked for permission to go home and it was granted. Anyway, I want to talk to the media about this,” the KwaZulu Natal born player added.

This is not the first time that Sikhakhane and Mzizi will be hauled before the team’ DC. They were previously accused of coming to training under the influence of alcohol.

The former Kaizer Chiefs players were also recently involved in a car accident in Bloemfontein.
