Napoli 1-1 Genoa

Napoli were held to a 1-1 stalemate by ten men Genoa playing an hour of football with an extra player on Sunday night at Sadio San Paolo.

The visitors were dealt a blow in the 28th minute after Stefano Sturraro was red-carded and had to play the rest of the match with ten man.

Carlo Ancelotti’s charges broke the deadlock six minutes thereafter through Dries Mertens but Darko Lazovic levelled matters for Genoa on the stroke of halftime and frustrated Napoli in the second stanza to get a point away from home.

Fiorentina 0-1 Frosinone

Frosinone boosted their survival hopes with a narrow 1-0 victory over Fiorentina on Sunday afternoon at Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Daniel Ciofani scored the only goal of the match with six minutes remaining to clinch all the three points for Frosinone who are now four points short of getting out of the relegation zone.

Cagliari 2-1 SPAL

Leonardo Pavoletti scored the winner as Cagliari edged SPAL 2-1 on Sunday afternoon at Sardegna Arena.

Paolo Farago grabbed the lead for the hosts in the third minute and Mirco Antenucci levelled matters for SPAL in the 18th minute. However, Pavoletti found the winner for Cagliari on the hour-mark to clinch the three points.

Udinese 3-2 Empoli

Udinese edged Empoli 3-2 despite playing the last half-an-hour with ten men in a five goal-thriller on Sunday afternoon at Dacia Arena.

Francesco Caputo got the opener for Empoli in the 11th minute while Rodrigo de Paul found the equaliser for the hosts three minutes later.

Rade Krunic restored the lead for the visitors in the 24th minute but de Paul made it 2-2 with his second just before the break and Rolando Mandragora got the third goal on the stroke of halftime.

Marvin Zeegelaar got his second yellow card and was sent off for Udinese in the 63rd minute but the hosts managed to hold on for victory.

Inter Milan 0-0 Atalanta

Inter Milan and Atalanta failed to ignite but they stayed in the hunt for UEFA Champions League places despite a goalless draw on Sunday evening at Stadio Guiseppe Meazza.

Lazio 2-2 Sassuolo

Senad Lulic netted deep in stoppage time to rescue a 2-2 draw for Lazio against Sassuolo on Sunday evening at Stadio Olimpico.

Ciro Immobile broke the deadlock for the hosts in the 53rd minute from the penalty spot and Rogerio quickly levelled matters for Sassuolo four minutes later.

Domenico Berardi thought he had scored the winner for the visitors as he made it 1-2 with a minute remaining of regulation time but Lulic snatched the equaliser deep in stoppage time to salvage a point for Lazio.
