Saturday's Premier League wrap

Saints secured a 1-0 away victory over Hull City thanks to Victor Wanyama's early goal, while Jose Mourinho's side continued their strong start to the season with a 2-1 home win over Queens Park Rangers.

Oscar opened the scoring with the outside of his right foot from a Cesc Fabregas assist in the 32nd minute but Charlie Austin turned in a Leroy Fer shot towards goal in the 62nd minute to level matters.

But Eden Hazard had the final say, converting from the spot in the 76th minute after he was bundled over in the area by Eduardo Vargas to keep Chelsea's lead at four points at the top of the table.

Arsenal had to patient but eventually broke through Burnley at The Emirates when Alexis Sanchez buried a 70th-minute header from Calum Chambers' cross.

Chambers then got on the scoresheet himself two minutes later, stabbing home from close range after Danny Welbeck's shot was parried by the impressive Tom Heaton in the Clarets goal.

Sanchez completed his brace in stoppage time, bursting into the box and controlling Kieran Gibbs' cross before finishing from inside the six-yard area. The Gunners moved up to fourth with the win.

Newcastle United edged Liverpool 1-0 courtesy of Ayoze Perez's 73rd-minute goal in the day's early kick-off at St James' Park.
