Leading the Malawians’ legion is Black Leopards’ defender Peter Mponda - who is apparently the Flames’ captain - team mate Robert Ng’ambi, Ajax Cape Town’s Russell Mwafulirwa, Thanda Zulu Royals’ James Sangala and Tawonga Chimodzi of Santos.

The lower division has contributed Dynamos’ duo of goalkeeper Swadick Sanudi and defender Allan Kamanga in the Malawi squad, which coach Stephen Constantine has released for the game scheduled for Trade Fair Ground in Mbabane.

“I have chosen the best squad available to me and I’m looking forward to a win against Swaziland,” the English coach told the Malawi press in Blantyre on Wednesday morning.

Conspicuously missing in the squad are Black Leopards’ Fischer Kondowe and Joseph Kamwendo from Orlando Pirates, who are serving an indefinite suspension on disciplinary grounds.

Bay United forward Jimmy Zakazaka has also been sidelined due to inactivity.
