EPL clubs chase Golden Shoe leader

Krzysztof Piątek, 23, has scored 12 goals in his first seven games for Genoa since joining the club in the off-season from Polish top-flight side Cracovia.

City, Liverpool and Tottenham scouts have sent glowing reports to their respective clubs after his early-season blitz, according to UK publication TeamTalk.

With eight goals in six league games and four in his debut Coppa Italia fixture, the striker who missed out on Poland's 2018 FIFA World Cup squad became the first player to register double figures this season.

What makes it even more astonishing is that the Poland forward cost around £4m from Cracovia - that's about 25 times less than the near £100m Juventus paid Real Madrid to acquire the services of Cristiano Ronaldo.

In comparison, Portugal international Ronaldo has scored three goals so far.

Despite only paying £4million for him, it is believed Genoa already value him at over £30m.
