Lasarte is facing a major backlash in Egypt after his side lost 5-0 to Sundowns this past weekend in the CAF Champions League, with many quarters calling for his head.
It was the worst defeat in their history, and the Egyptian side now hope to beat The Brazilians by no less than six goals in the return leg in Cairo on Saturday.
"I know as a coach if you get a score like this and get outplayed I know how you feel and for this reason I wouldn’t say much this time. I would respect the coach," said Mosimane.
"I mean if we can put CVs here, I will hide mine. He is a big coach, I have to give him respect and respect him because these things do happen in a match. I have seen Arsenal losing 6-0 against Manchester United, I have seen Real Madrid losing 6-0 against Barcelona and one day it will happen to me and so humility is important at this point in time.
"I will give respect to Al Ahly, I will give respect to the coach because he is a big coach and it is a big club. It means a lot to me of course and one day our children will know that Mamelodi Sundowns beat Al Ahly here. That will go to the archives and you can't dispute it."
Sundowns left the country on Monday evening for the return match.
