News gets worse for Arsenal after goalkeeper Petr Cech was ruled out of their crucial game against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
Cech will miss the North London derby with a groin problem, manager Arsene Wenger confirmed after their damaging 2-1 home defeat to Swansea City last night.
“He had a little groin problem before the game, and I think he struggled a bit today,” Wenger said. “He will not play on Saturday. I do not know for how long he will be out.”
Wenger also confirmed that centre-back Laurent Koscielny, who missed the Swansea game with a calf injury, will also not play against Spurs.
On Tuesday, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was ruled out for two months with knee ligament damage.
