Parreira helps Khan build for the future

Khan tells KickOff.com that he is back from attending a four-day coaching conference in Brazil and that he has to thank Bafana Bafana head coach Carlos Alberto Parreira for arranging and organising his stay in South America.

“The main purpose of the conference was to review the latest developments in modern football. We discussed a number of new innovations in the game and other tactical and technical aspects relating to the improvement of the game overall.”

Khan currently coaches Vodacom Second Division team Alexandra United

“I am extremely thankful to Parreira for organising the trip for me because I learnt a lot in the few days that I spent there.

“My relationship with our senior national team head coach goes back a long way. He was my lecturer in Brazil when I went there in the mid ’90s.”

Khan also tells KickOff.com that he is confident that his mission with Alex United will succeed.

“It is not my target to win promotion to the First Division this season because my focus is more on developing the potential youngsters properly. Some of them will be going to Sweden soon.

“However, with this building process, I will eventually have a very strong team and some of them will become household names in the future.”
