Parker carried his current great form at Thanda Royal Zulu in the Absa Premiership into Bafana Bafana when brought smiles to South African fans after his brace helped the country beat Malawi 3-0.

The Amabhubesi striker, who has scored four goals in the league this season, also collected the Man of the Match award for his sterling performance.

Bafana Bafana captain of the day Teko Modise said the squad did nothing special and played the same game that ended in a 1-0 defeat to Nigeria during the World Cup/Africa Cup of Nations qualifier game in Port Elizabeth last month.

“We did nothing special against Malawi; we played good football just like we did against Nigeria.

"The only difference was that we were finally able to find the back of the net.”
