The South Africa international recently signed as an ambassador for Mr Price SPORT, and will play a pivotal role in developing a Maxed boot.

"It is an honour for me to be joining the Mr Price SPORT Heroes team; the fact that they believe in me so much means a lot," Nthethe says.

Mr Price SPORT marketing executive Nikki Viljoen says they aim to design a quality boot that is affordable.

"We want to develop a world-class soccer boot that is accessible to every soccer playing South African,” Viljoen explains.

"We are very happy to be working with a top-calibre player such as Thabo and look forward to the end result."

Nthethe has been a stalwart at Celtic for the last nine years, and has established himself as an integral member of the Bafana Bafana squad.
