Reuben to train with Genk

News learnt that the player will miss the quarter finals of the Federation Cup that will be played on Monday next week if Kano Pillars qualify after the last group game against El-Kanemi on Friday.

The former Enyimba player has postponed the trip for a number of times, but has decided to go and honour the invitation before the Super Eagles reconvene for the final 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Liberia in September and October.

Kano Pillars coach Baba Ganaru confirmed to that after the game against El-Kanemi, his prized midfielder will travel to Belgium.

"He will not be available for the quarter final match on Monday because he will be travelling to train with a club in Europe.

"Reuben has been one of the outstanding players in the Nigeria Premier League this season and I am sure he will get to sign a good contract.

"We will miss him in majority of our matches, but we are going to adjust to life without him because we cannot stop him," Ganaru said.

Reuben scored Nigeria's goal in the 1-1 draw against Malawi in the 2014 Fifa World Cup Brazil qualification match in Blantyre in June. He was also voted man of the match in the Super Eagles' 2-0 defeat of Rwanda in the Afcon qualifier later that month.

Kano Pillars are second on the log in the Nigeria Premier League with 55 points.
