Thanda made the most progress with a 2-1 home victory over Sivutsa Stars but while a ten-man AmaTuks could only manage a 2-2 draw with FC Cape Town, the biggest losers were Blackburn Rovers who have dropped to second spot after going down 2-1 away to Dynamos. A fine brace by Thanda striker Peter Wadabwa gave his coach Neil Tovey a big smile however, in Cape Town, Steve Barker could only watch frustratingly from the touch lines as his side gave away a 2-0 half time lead as Errol Dicks' outfit fought back courageously to remain in contention for the play-offs. Sifiso Sithole and Esau Mtsweni netted for the visitors before a stunning strike by Sihle Mbambo and an equally well-maneuvered attempt from Mzuvele Skhosana brought cheers from the home fans. A short while later, in the 68th minute Tuks' defender Keeno Shellar picked up a second yellow card, and for the rest of the game it was end to end stuff but had it not been for the bravery shown by Barker's gaolkeeper Siya Mngoma, his side would have lost the match and their unbeaten record. Rovers were downed in Giyani thanks to Bongani Zunga and Thamsana Tibe which also keeps Patrick Malabela's team in the hunt. Vasco da Gama maintained fourth position after overpowering Mpumalanga Black Aces 1-0 at the Rand Stadium with Geofrey Serunkuma getting the winner in injury time, while the same thing happened in Philippi where Chippa United's Andile Mbenyane scored the only goal of the game just before the final whistle which leaves Witbank Spurs rock bottom. Mark Harrison's African Warriors whipped FC AK 4-0 at Charles Mopeli with hat-trick hero Jimmy Zakazaka and Siyabulela Witbooi the toast of the town as their team shot up to fifth. At the lower end of the log, there was an entertaining 2-2 draw between Atlie FC and Carara Kicks. Excellent Walaza hit a brace for Atlie while Jacob Ngwira also grabbed both his side's goals, and in another encounter United FC and Bay United played out a goalless draw.
