Davids’ representatives was also fuming after the incident following the way the paramedics handled the Maritzburg United striker’s injury.
“It was extremely disappointing the way the medical staff at the game handled the facial injury Fadlu received over the weekend. After the initial attention he received on the field, all paramedics were thereafter involved with Stars goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene, and Fadlu was seen walking alone behind the goal line. I sincerely hope the PSL pays attention to these types of occurrences, as it could lead to dire consequences in the future. Luckily, the Maritzburg chairman Mr. Kadodia reacted immediately and got Fadlu to proper medical care as soon as he could.”
Meanwhile, Stars striker Diyo Sibisi says he is hoping for more goals this season after recording his first brace of the season.
“I am not only happy about my goals, but also the way the team played. This was a great welcome for our coach Themba Sithole. He has been here for a long time but Saturday was the first time that he took charge of the team. This victory was good for him as the team’s new coach.
“Last season I had lot of problems both on and off the field but this season everything is going well and I hoping it stays the same way until the end of the season because I just want to continue scoring goals for my team.”
