Mwanza joins Power Dynamos


Mwanza has made a u-turn to join Dynamos, a team he played for before trekking to South Africa, after having earlier told Kickoff that he had signed an eight-month contract with First Division Coastal Stream side African Warriors in September.

So far Mwanza has played two games for the Kitwe-based outfit.

On his debut, Dynamos beat Kabwe Warriors 2-0 in the Barclays Cup quarterfinal match at Woodlands stadium in Lusaka while last weekend, his side lost 1-0 to Konkola Blades in a league match.

When contacted for a comment, Mwanza’ who has played full matches in both games’ said he was featuring for Dynamos as a guest player till the end of the season after failing to agree on personal terms with Warriors.

“I am back at Power because we couldn’t agree on some things I wanted in the contract,” Mwanza, who was dropped from the Chipolopolo Boys before the Zambia, Togo World/Africa Cup qualifier match, said.

Meanwhile former Bay United striker Given Singuluma has joined Zanaco FC.

Singuluma has already started featuring for the Lusaka based outfit ad scored on his debut on Saturday as Zanacobeat Lusaka Dynamos 1-0 in a league match played at Queensmead Stadium.

Singuluma has been clubless since June after he was released by United.

The 22-year-old has also been capped at senior level with his latest coming in the friendly against Libya in what was coach Herve Renards first match in-charge of the Chipolopolo Boys.
