Michel waits on work permit

Michel, who was introduced to his new squad at the weekend after arriving back in South Africa, is unlikely to take a visible role in the proceedings as he is still awaiting his work permit to be processed.

Reports say that the former Ivory Coast and Morocco coach will also use his own team of a fitness trainer and assistant coach.

This will leave under-fire Trott Moloto with the unenviable task of facing the People’s Team on their home ground on Wednesday evening at Athlone Stadium in what is forecast to be typical windy Cape conditions.

Coach David Bright’s team will have to start putting the pieces together after suffering heavy defeats at the hands of Platinum Stars and Bloemfontein Celtic if they are to make any impression on the Brazilians who continue to improve towards the top of the table.

The likes of Benedict Vilakazi, Collins Mbesuma, Koketso Mmotong, Katlego Mphela, Dario Monterio (Sundowns Player of the Month for October) and Lerato Chabangu are players that know how to seize on any mistake and put the ball in the back of the net and they will definitely be out to impress Michel.

Further good news for the visitors is that Surprise Moriri has started full training and will be available for selection when we play against Santos
