McCarthy signs for Swallows

This was confirmed to by team manager Bennett Mtshali

“McCarthy is now officially a Moroka Swallows player after agreeing terms with them for a two-year deal,” said Mtshali, who also added that his team is searching for a top goalkeeper and a striker to complement their squad this coming season.

The Dube Birds have been left thin in the goalkeeping department since the departure of Aubrey Mathibe to Thanda Royal Zulu FC during the off season.

Meanwhile, Swallows have not lost hope of signing Supersport United defender, Simphiwe Mkhonza.

Mkhonza's manager, Jazzman Mahlakgane has told that he is working hard to finalise the player's move, soon as Matsatsantsa coach, Gavin Hunt has indicated that he might not feature in his plans for the new season.
