The two midfielders, who are now free agents, were off-loaded by Pirates in June as part of the Bucs’ move to downsize their massive squad.
While the pair are at Dynamos, they have yet to sign contracts even though they already have contracts waiting for them at the club.
Modabi is making a return after a demoralising stay at Pirates during which he saw little action in the two years that he spent there after leaving the Limpopo Province.
“Modabi has been training with the team since last week and has not signed yet. At the moment he is being assessed by the coaches and is looking good. I can confidently say that we will sign him as he is coming back home to the team where he enjoyed his football,” says Dynamos’ manager Moses Mabele.
Mashaba is expected to start training with Dynamos this afternoon.
“Tebogo will start training with us on Monday afternoon. He is a free agent and can be signed at anytime, but for now he will join the team at training before any decision is made. But we already know what he is capable of,” adds Mabele.
Mashaba must surely be regretting his decision of having left Black Leopards for Pirates as he saw little action at the Bucs in the season he spent there.
