Amofah regains form in Israel

Amofah's career in Europe took a nose dive after an unsuccessful spell with SonderjyskE in Denmark but he resurfaced in Israel late last year where he is now turning out for Beitar Tel Aviv.

The former Bloemfontein Celtic player has regained his old form having scored six goals in the last 11 matches for his club in the Israeli Premier League.

Speaking to from Israel, Amofah says he has still not lost hope of playing for Ghana in the near future.

"It took me some time to adjust to life in Israel but now that I have settled down well, I am enjoying myself here.

"Things are also going okay for me on the field of play even though I have not scored as many goals as I would have wished so as to open doors for me to play for the national team during the World Cup.

"I am crossing my fingers that even if I don't make it to the final squad for South Africa, that I will enjoy the feeling of being part of the squad during their camp.

"In any case, if I don't make it, I will still be in South Africa to support the boys during the World Cup."
