Ertugral has registered four straight losses since replacing Fadlu Davids at bottom-placed United in December.

Maritzburg’s latest defeat was a 2-0 loss at fellow strugglers Chippa United, who fielded both players in the clash at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth last weekend.

“I've worked with Rakhale at Pirates,” said Ertugral, who resigned from Orlando Pirates after just four months at the helm in 2016.

“He was one of my best players there. He makes things happen. I would like to work with him again."

Ertugral added: "Malepe as well is another player I would like to be with on my team. Him and Rakhale are top players."

The Team of Choice will next face Witbank Spurs in the Nedbank Cup last-32 at Puma Rugby Stadium on Sunday (15h00).

Ertugral is naturally more concerned with their fight for survival in the Absa Premiership.

“On the next game, I can't really say anything. We just need to adjust and prepare for survival,” said the ex-Ajax Cape Town tactician.
