Wilmots new Ivory Coast coach

Wilmots, who has penned a two-year contract with an option to renew, coached his native Belgium between 2012 and 2016, leading them at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The 48-year-old was sacked in July last year after the Red Devils lost 3-1 to Wales in the quarter-finals of the European Championships.

Wilmots not be in charge for the West Africans' upcoming friendlies with Russia and Senegal, with Ibrahim Kamara set to supervise the dugout. 

Dussuyer quit the Elephants after their group-stages exit at the African Nations Cup this year.
