Madimabe confirmed to KickOff.com that the Urban Warriors had shown interest in his services, but added that his future in football at the moment was in the hands of Stars’ boss Mike Mokoena.
“When I heard about Ajax Cape Town, I approached our management to find out whether it was true. They said they are working on something and promised to come back to me soon.
“I am still contracted to Free State Stars and they are only people who can release me. If they agree to release me, I won't have a problem joining Ajax Cape Town because I believe to experience life you must be ready to accept challenge from anywhere.”
Meanwhile Ea Lla Koto midfielder Hleza Mofedi has put to rest speculation about his future by signing a new one year extension at the club that gave him his professional break eight years ago.
After featuring just twice this season there has been growing speculation that Mofedi will be released as he has had limited effect since returning to the club from Orlando Pirates over two years ago.
“I have extended for another year,” discloses Mofedi upon being asked about his future.
“I have always wanted to stay with Stars and I am glad that my wish was granted. My family lives close to where the club is based which really suits me and that has been the major reason why I didn’t want to move,” says Mofedi.Another player hoping to make a move to Cape Town is Orlando Pirates transfer listed midfielder Jorry Merahe.
“I understand that my manager has been in touch with Thanda Royal Zulu, Free State Stars and Ajax Cape Town. If I have any say in the matter I would prefer to join Ajax next season,” Merahe says.
