Enrique will take charge of his second game as Spain head coach since their below-par 2018 FIFA World Cup.
After beating England 2-1 in his first game, there next challenge comes in the form of finalists Croatia.
Ahead of the fixture, he was asked as a former coach of Lionel Messi, about the surprise snub in favour of Mohamed Salah, Luka Modric and Cristiano Ronaldo.
"When speaking of Croatia, I would talk about [Luka] Modric and [Ivan] Rakitic, the two deserve all the individual awards," he said in the press conference ahead of the UEFA Nations League outing.
"The award for the best player in the world I would give it to Messi, he is a step above everyone else."
