FULLTIME: Mexico 1 (Peralta 61) Cameroon 0 - Mexico open their campaign with a win, and deservedly so as they dominated for large parts and had two goals ruled out.
93 - Hernandez misses a great chance from six yards out. Probably would have scored in a red shirt
92 - SUB: Hererra replaced by Salcidio
91 - Assou-Ekotto with a great delivery, but Moukandjo's header is well saved. So close.
87 - So close for Cameroon as Webo breaks down the right and puts in a low cross, but Ochoa's pulls off a point-blank save.
85 - Cameroon throwing everyone forward now, but so far no joy as Choupo Moting's shot is blocked.
82 - The two subs combine as Hernandez pulls the ball back for Fabian, but Nkoulou produces a great last-ditc tackle.
80 - Eto'o tries to get his team going, but his shot is deflected for a corner.
79 - SUB: Attack-minded Webo replaces Song. Could he prove the spark?
76 - YELLOW - Nkoulou booked for a foul on the edge of the area. Dangerous moment, but nothing comes of it.
72 - SUB: Goalscorer Peralta comes off, to be replaced by Manchester United's Javier Hernandez.
68 - SUB: Guardado comes off for Marco Fabian
65 - Cameroon are fighting hard to get back into this game. Can the Africans do it? We hope so.
The Mexicans will feel they deserve that after the two disallowed goals in the first half.
61 - GOAL!!! Dos Santos is played in and looks like to score, but again he is thwarted. However, Peralta is in the right place and slots into the open net.
59 - Assou-Ekotto so close as his free-kick deflects off the wall, but then flies inches wide with the keeper beaten.
57 - YELLOW - First card of the game as Moreno brings down Mbia in a dangerous area.
53 - Choupo Moting with a deflected shot, but it's comfortable save Ochoa.
50 - Song with a two-footed lunge on Dos Santos, but he gets away with only a caution. Another ref on another day may have gone straight to the pocket.
48 - Mexico come close again as Peralta is played through, but Itandje rushes out to block.
46 - Second half underway ...
HALFTIME: 0-0 at the break, but plenty of incident as Mexico have two legitimate goals ruled out and Eto'o hits the post at the other end.
45 - Peralta misses a diving header at the far-post, but it would not have counted as he was offside.
44 - Close again for Dos Santos, who bursts into the box but then loses his footing. On another day ...
40 - Great ball in by Peralta to Rodriquez, but it skids on the wet surface and Itandje can gather just in time.
35 - Ten minutes remaining and Mexico must be wondering how they are not leading. They have dominated for most parts and have scored two legitimate goals, but have nothing to show for it.
32 - They are showing replays of the disallowed goal - it was a bad call by the assistant referee. Dos Santos should be on a hat-trick.
30 - Dos Santos has the ball in the back of the net again, but again it is ruled out - and again it's a wrong call! The Mexicans are not happy!
27 - What a miss from Mexico! An inswinging free-kick sees two Mexicans unmarked. But rather than leaving it for the better-placed Moreno, captain Marquez takes it off his head and the chance is missed.
25 - Cameroon asking all the questions now! A corner from the right causes confusion, but the ball comes at Eto'o too quickly and he can't turn it home.
22 - WOODWORK! A great burst down the left from Assou-Ekotto, whose cutback finds Eto'o. However, the Chelsea man finds the outside of the upright from eight yards out.
18 - Moreno with a great last-ditch tackle to deny Eto'o. Cameroon finding their feet.
16 - Finally some respite for Cameroon as they win a corner. The ball finds it's way to Eto'o, who plays in Choupo Moting and he finds the net. But Eto'o was well offside.
11 - Dos Santos has the ball in the back of the net, but it's called offside. Replays, however, suggest the former Spurs striker was onside.
9 - Cameroon aren't helping their cause with some woeful defending. On this occassion a clearance goes straight to Herrera, but fortunately for the Africans his shot is well over.
7 - It's all Mexico in the opening stages. The first shot on target comes in the form of Layun's drive from the edge of the area, but it's straight at Itandje.
4 - Mexico have started well and are finding some space down the flanks. Aguilar attempts to put in a cross, but it's deflected and hirs the side-netting.
2. First foul of the game is by Eyong Enoh. Nothing serious though.
1. We have kick-off. Mexico playing from left to right on a rainy day at Arena das Dunas.
- National anthems now. Few minutes away from kick-off...
It's the second game in Group A following Brazil's 3-1 win against Croatia in the opener last night.
