Ligue 1: PSG cruise past Marseille

Paris Saint Germain 3-1 Olympique Marseille

Paris Saint-Germain moved 20 points clear of second-place Lille following a 3-1 victory over Marseille at the Parc de Princess.

A second-half double from Angel Di Maria ensured all the points for the home side, after Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring just before the halftime break.

Valere Germain netted the only goal for the visitors, who also had Steve Mandanda sent off for handball outside the area.

Olympique Lyon 3-2 Montpellier

Lyon edged past Montpellier at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais with a 3-2 victory to hang onto third place.

An 11th minute strike from Martin Terrier set the home side on course despite the visitors response through Florent Mollet on 36 minutes.

Moussa Dembele restored parity on 58 minutes, with Houssem Aouar adding to their tally on 86 minutes, as Souleymane Camara prodded the consolation in added time.

Stade Reims 1-0 Nantes

Reims ended a two-match winless run with a narrow 1-0 victory over ten-man Nantes at the Stade Auguste-Delaune II.

Remi Oudin’s 59th strike proved to be the difference between the two sides, with the visitors ending a man short following Andrei Girotto’s 89th minute dismissal.

Interestingly, Reims drop a position down from fifth to sixth despite the win whilst Nantes move from 14th to 15th place.

Bordeaux 1-1 Rennes

Bordeaux failed to close in on a European slot following a 1-1 draw with Rennes at the Nouveau Stade le Bordeaux.

After a goalless first half, Bordeaux broke the deadlock courtesy of Francois Komano on 59 minutes before M’Biaye Niang sealed a point in time added on.

As a consequence, both sides fail to elevate their league standings with Bordeaux remaining in 13th and Rennes in eight spot.
