The Dutch mentor reveals that he will, like during the just ended Vodacom Challenge, use two different squads, presuming that his club will make it to the final.
The Buccaneers play Platinum Stars in the first semifinal of the event scheduled for Mmabatho.
“What is imperative at the moment is that we find the right combinations for the upcoming season. Winning the tournament is important, but the priority is different.” Krol says that this is the reason why he will use two different squads if Bucs qualify to meet either Kaizer Chiefs or Mamelodi Sundowns who play in the second semifinal.
“We have enough players, we have the depth and we will use the same format we employed during the Vodacom Challenge.”
The former Netherlands international defender, however, is confident ahead of the weekend tournament.
Pirates, coached by ailing Congolese mentor Bibey Mutombo at the time, narrowly lost last year’s final of the annual event to Bloemfontein Celtic.
