The former Bloemfontein Celtic player will be at Amakhosi until June 2021 after signing a new two-year contract with the club. Moleko admitted that there was a time that he was frustrated at the club, but his family kept him going.
Coach Ernst Middendorp arrived in December and the 29-year-old has been a regular in the team since and he’s playing with confidence.
“This is great news for me and my family,” Moleko told the Amakhosi website.
“There was a time when I was frustrated but family and other senior players in the team kept me going. It’s about putting in hard work and following the coach’s advice and instructions. I’m grateful to continue to serve the club that I love so much.”
Middendorp has been impressed with the progress Moleko has made and sees him as someone who can play in different positions at the back.
Moleko played in a central role over the weekend when Amakhosi beat Maritzburg United 1-0.
“Moleko is on a great turnaround. He did not feature much in the early part of the season. I am happy because of his capacity to give us options. He is not only a player to use on the right position, but he is capable of playing in the centre of our defence.”
