Thobejane: We will bounce back

Baroka FC coach Kgoloko Thobejane was disappointed with his side's 3-1 defeat to Orlando Pirates but insisted that they will bounce back.

Bakgaga conceded three goals inside 30 minutes as the Buccaneers got the new year underway with victory at Orlando Stadium.

Thobejane believes his side gave the Soweto giants too much time on the ball in the fist half.

"Ja it happened, it went the other way. We said we needed these three points but Pirates took them. We gave them a chance to build confidence in the first half with pocket passes but second half it was better because it was pound for pound,"Thobejane told SuperSport TV.

"I told the players let's go to them and they will make a mistake but if we sit back and allow them to come at us, then they will punish us.

"We came back stronger in the second half but if you don't take your chances it's a problem. We should have converted one goal in the first ten minutes [after the second half] then the game would have changed, but it's a game of football we have to go back and make sure in our next game we capitalise and punish them. That consistency is gone now but we know we will bounce back."
