Amakhosi will play Santos on Saturday, November 20, in the Telkom Knockout Cup semi-final scheduled for the Peter Mokaba stadium in Polokwane.
However, Vermezovic has expressed his concern after eight of his players were called up for international duty, which, according to the Serbian, hinders Chiefs' preparations for the Santos clash.
Siphiwe Tshabalala, Itumeleng Khune, Sthembiso Ngcobo and Reneilwe Letsholonyane will play for Bafana Bafana on Wednesday night, November 17, against the USA in the Nelson Mandela Challenge in Cape Town, while Soweto Derby hero Knowledge Musona is travelling to Mozambique together with Zhaimu Jambo, Thomas Sweswe and Tinashe Nengomasha to play for Zimbabwe against the ‘Black Mambas', also on Wednesday.
"I will be missing (eight) players this week and all those players are coming back on Thursday and we are travelling (to Polokwane) on Friday. I don't know who made this schedule, but it will be very difficult to prepare for the match. I hope none of these players will be injured," Vermezovic said.
Santos beat Chiefs 1-0 last week in a League match at the Rand Stadium.
